Maybe it’s because the Fourth of July just passed and all the red, white and blue all over the place made me feel uber patriotic. But I just think that patronizing local businesses is one of the most patriotic things you can do…and supporting a local mommy-owned business is icing on the cupcake.
Case in point: Nicole’s Names a mom of two who works outside the home and in her “spare” time, she makes affordable personalized name decorations for baby rooms. I saw her business featured on a morning TV news show and kept it in my memory bank for when the hubby and I finally decided on a name for our little Peanut.
I emailed her a photo of his nursery bedding and VOILA the nursery was complete. Nicole is responsive, quick and does a fabulous job. I couldn’t be happier and if you give yourself enough time, it makes a perfect baby shower gift.
Heath loves pointing to it above his bed and makes me spell out his name. Apparently, when you’re almost two hearing your named spelled aloud is hilarious.
